Emanuel Ashiedu, a software engineer from Salina and the driving force behind this expansion, is bringing his passion for authentic food to 6121 E. 21st St. This location carries a storied past — it first opened as a Long John Silver’s in the 1980s and later became Clouds, a daiquiri lounge turned Mediterranean restaurant. Now, it’s set to serve up a true taste of the South.
Wichita’s First Drive-Through Southern Eatery
In a first for Sam’s Southern Eatery in Wichita, this location will feature a drive-through service, catering to customers seeking convenience without sacrificing quality. While the building is smaller than the other branches, Emanuel Ashiedu sees this as an opportunity to offer quick and efficient service. Drive-through patrons can enjoy select favorites like crispy fried catfish, jumbo fried shrimp, and classic po' boy sandwiches.
